Air management must begin at the front of the underbody. Our cars have all kinds of obstacles to prevent a wash of clean air out the rear: Starting with air divertorson the tie-rods for brake cooling, and the front pan air scoops, athere are lots of objects protruding into the "tunnel". These cause a lot turbulence, eddy currents, and dirty air. By the time underbody air gets to the proposed location of the diffuser, it could actually be moving in every direction except towards the rear of the car. I doubt you are ever going to have the resources to design a true diffuser; however, it would be a major accomplishment just to redirect some of the airflow to minimize the road dust on the rear fascia. gordo
